To become a Christian..

To become a christian is difficult because God will test your faith. Problems after problems may come into your life but still you must remember that God will never leave you nor forsake you. Trials is part of your life. It is a challenge. We must always have a communication with God,we must pray always because God is our father. He answers our prayers according to His will. God is a good provider,He provides our daily bread. And so we must always thank God for that unlimited help to us especially in financial problems that all of us are encountering. We must put it in our mind that in every problem there is always a solution. We can learn from that problem anyway.
To all christians we must thank God always because He save us. We must always say "Sorry" to Him because everyday we commit sin but God forbid. We must know our mistake so that we will be aware of doing that. The Devil is always there to whisper us to do sin. And so before we speak or we do something we must think of it. A christian has a forgiving hearts that means we must learn to forgive our enemy like Jesus did He forgave us in our sins.
All we must do is to be faithful to God and Love Him with all our hearts, soul and mind because He first loved us.. And be a good example to unbelievers.

FHM's back-to-back treat: Karel Marquez and Amanda Griffin

FHM, the undisputed number one men's magazine in the country, has more reasons to celebrate. Count, for example, the fact that Karel Marquez and Amanda Griffin, two of the most sought-after women in the showbiz and modeling industry, appear on a special back-to-back cover on the November issue of FHM. This is another treat for FHM readers because this month, you get to take home two luscious honeys on the cover for the price of one!

Karel Marquez, who balances being a MYX VJ, actress, singer, and songwriter in one, considers her FHM debut a career move because according to her, "I'm starting to do mature roles". This is definitely a far cry from the usual perky and teenybopper act that the people have grown accustomed to, but this versatile artist has come a long way from the pa-tweetum roles she used to play in Berks, where she started out at the tender age of 16. Now at 19, Karel says that her independence and how she handles herself are some of the things that constantly surprise people. She has now learned the ropes of living on her own, citing that her maturity is what makes her parents trust her to strike it out by herself.

Another reason for a celebratory toast from the FHM corner is the stunning debut of supermodel Amanda Griffin on FHM. After 15 years of modeling, Amanda is still credited as one of the most sought-after models in the industry today. Her FHM debut has been long been overdue, and she says her uneasiness with the magazine had to do with her initial perception that FHM is "a really sexy magazine", and she was not used to "so much lingerie". Still, Amanda bares all - her mind, that is - as she talks about the things that are keeping her busy at the moment, like being an activist in an environmental cause that's obviously very close to her heart. Although she's been away from the limelight for some time now, Amanda is now back with projects left and right, a sure sign that the showbiz industry is not yet done shining their klieg lights on this supermodel / endorser-turned-TV host.

The November issue of FHM featuring Karel Marquez and Amanda Griffin on a back-to-back cover treat, is now available in leading magazine stands and bookstores for only P125 per copy.

Lucy Torres-Gomez shows off her new look

It's been almost ten years since Lucy Torres-Gomez snagged showbiz' most eligible bachelor. Since then, the world of this painfully shy woman has expanded in so many ways. "So many doors opened for me," she tells Marie Claire magazine this November, "I never realized there were so many things I wanted to do."

The shy lady from Cebu probably never thought that she would act in a sitcom, host a women's weekly talk show, and display her dancing skills on national television, but she did all that and more since her marriage to Richard Gomez. "I was never overwhelmed by Richard's fame," she says, "I never intended to be in the limelight or on TV. I am just me, a homebody."

True enough, despite being a choice product endorser, a sought-after cover girl, a Bench model, and a Philippine Star lifestyle columnist, she is actually quite content with just two major roles: Wife and Mother.

"I'm content to be known as Mrs. Gomez," she shares. "All I wanted was to be a wife and a mother." Hardcore feminists may not approve of this, but Lucy staunchly defends the choice she and many other women have made. "With the privilege of being a wife and a mother comes duty and responsibility; and love fuels it. There is nothing basta-basta about it. Being a homemaker is a noble task."

Of course, Lucy learned all this from her own mother, Julie, who also taught her that when you give to others, you will be blessed in return. This is something she wants to pass on to her own daughter, Juliana. "I want Juliana to be generous with her time, her resources, her talents. That is how you give glory to your Maker… [and] how you give meaning to life."

Lucy may focus her energies on being a wife and mother, but she proves that she is also very much her own woman, as she says, "I'm not just 'nice' or a pushover. I am capable of fighting back." Learn more about Lucy by grabbing your copy of the first anniversary issue of Marie Claire magazine this November. It is now available in all leading bookstores and magazine stands nationwide for P125 per copy.

E-gossip

Okay. I've had it. I'm tired of being the resident cynic in my Internet community. But I'm also tired of receiving e-mails that are lies being circulated as prayer requests or dressed in some other religious disguise.
Some of the e-mails are gut-wrenching stories about individuals in need of prayer. Others are warnings about people, products, or political foes. Some are inspirational. But nearly all are infused with untruth.
Whenever I receive a suspicious e-mail, I check it out. It takes less than a minute to go to google.com and type in a few key search words. Within seconds I can log onto Web sites like urbanlegends.com or truthorfiction.com. If the e-mail is false, I reply to the sender with a link to the Web site hosting the information, which has been compiled by someone who has taken the time to find out the truth.
No one wants to spread a false story, but spreading rumors is now easy that we can disseminate false information to our entire address book simply hitting "forward". It seems like an innocent pastime to many people. But is it?
When we're careless about truth, we slowly but surely dismantle our own credibility. Why would anyone believe what we say about spiritual matters-- like Jesus and His incarnation and resurrection-- when we spread rumors without bothering to find out if they're false, proving that we have little regard for truth?
Someone might argue that circulating falsehoods in e-mails is harmless and unimportant. But let's consider a few things the Bible has to say: "The righteous hate what is false" (Proverbs 13:5). Jesus referred to the devil as the father of lies (John 8:44). Christians have no business being his accomplice.
If we want people to believe us when it comes to the important matters of salvation and eternity, we can't afford to sacrifice our credibility for false rumors, no matter how compelling or convincing they seem.

Pregnant and stressed out? No can Do!

Pregnancy is a time of great expectations, but also of great emotional changes. Dramatic changes in one's body, hormonal fluctuations, changes in roles and routines are all normal part of pregnancy, but are also causes of added stress. Too much stress can affect the mother's health: she may eat less or eat the wrong kinds of food, not get enough rest and sleep, and have a more difficult labor. The mother's stress affects the baby too-- via stress hormones that the mother's body releases in her bloodstream, which can enter the prenatal environment of the body. Studies have shown that babies who are born stressed-out moms grow up to be more prone to depression, aggression and other behavioral problems.
Here are ways to stay positive and happy while carrying that precious bundle under your heart.
  • Educate yourself: know what to expect during pregnancy and after
  • Seek advice of family and friends
  • Prepare as much as it is possible for child birth and postpartum life
  • Take care of yourself: eat right, exercise moderately, get enough rest and sleep
  • Get regular prenatal care
  • Try to adjust your schedule
  • Consider delegating or cutting back on responsibilities
  • Communicate with your partner, family members, officemates, supervisors
  • Remain involved with friends
  • Reflect, meditate, pray
  • Foster a positive attitude
  • Nurture your relationship with your partner
  • Spend quality time together
  • Communicate constantly
  • Keep him involved in pregnancy experience
  • Maintain a healthy intimate relationship

Only One Life

It matters so little
How much you may own
The places you've been
Or the people you've known
For it comes to nothing
When peace at His feet
It's nothing to Jesus
Just memories to keep

Chorus:
Only One life, so soon it will pass
Only what's done for Christ will last
Only one chance to do His will
So give to Jesus all your days
It's the only life that pays
When you recall, you have but one life.

You may take all the pleasures
From far away land
Take all the riches you can hold in your hand
Take all the treasures
Your money can buy
But what will you have
When it's your time to die
(Repeat Chorus)

The days pass so swiftly
The months come and go
The years melt away
Like a new fallen snow
Spring turn to summer
And summer to fall
Autumn brings winter
Then death comes to all
(Repeat Chorus)

Angels Brought Me Here

[Verse 1]
It's been a long and winding journey, but i'm finally here tonight
Picking up the pieces, and walking back into the light
Into the sunset of your glory, where my heart and future lies
There's nothing like that feeling, when i look into your eyes...

[Bridge]
My dreams came true, when i found you
I found you, my miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, that you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

[Verse 2]
Standing here before you, feels like i've been born again
Every breath is your love, every heartbeat speaks your name...

[Bridge 2]
My dreams came true, right here in front of you
My miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

[Bridge 3]
Brought me here to be with you,
I'll be forever grateful (oh forever Faithful)
My dreams came true
When I found you
My miracle...

[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
Yes they brought me here...
If you could feel, the tenderness i feel...
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
